I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase of a Prolux RS4 vacuum cleaner. Prior to purchase, I had conducted enormous research on what brand/type of canister vacuum cleaner I wanted to purchase. I stumbled upon Prolux in my search and here's what like: The product is made in the USA. It was shipped when they said it would be shipped. The vacuum cleaner was so well packaged. Not only were there printed instructions for assembly, they included a link to a video so you could follow along. I was a little concerned about how well the vacuum cleaner would work on our carpets (we don't have wall-to-wall carpeting--just area rugs). I couldn't believe my eyes!! The suction was amazing and pulled out dirt I didn't even know was in the carpet. This is a lightweight vacuum cleaner which is important to me. My other canister vacuum cleaner is just so heavy. The RS4 rolls easily and the hose/handle is really long allowing for a good sized reach on walls and curtains. I should also mention that the support and communication on this product has been outstanding. Emails are sent checking in on how I like the product and suggestions for good maintenance--very helpful. The challenges/concerns for me is the hose material. I'm hard on equipment, so I wonder how long the hose will last without cracking. I am used to the on/off switch being on the handle of the vacuum cleaner. The switch on the RS4 is on the canister. I still haven't figured out how to move the low suction button/feature. The feature doesn't look like the picture in the instructions, and I'm a little afraid that if I push or pull on it to get it to slide, I'll break it. I should mention that I don't have pets. So, this vacuum cleaner is just right for my purpose. I'm quite pleased.
