Central Vacuum Hose Works on Either Central Vacuum

Today we’re going to go over how to switch out the hose end on the GV central vac hose! The reason why we picked this hose is that it works on pretty much any central vacuum since it can work with both styles of connection.

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

Tools

  • Flat head screwdriver

Instructions

The first thing you need to do is pull out the cord.

Now turn it over and you’ll notice a slot. Insert your flat head screwdriver into the slot.

Then you can pull the end of the hose off!

Remove the spacer.

Then pull out the two-prong cord.

Now turn it around and insert it the other way.

Once it’s in position, make sure the wires are tucked in.

Slide the hose end back on.

You should hear it snap into place. You’re done!
