Getting to Know Your Stair Pro

Getting to Know Your Stair Pro

If you’re wondering why we no longer sell Rainbow Rainmates with our Rainbow vacuums, it’s simply because they are hard to find, and even harder to refurbish. The solution? Come up with a better version that can be sold as brand new! Introducing the Stair Pro. We have versions that fit any model of Rainbow vacuum, as well as versions that will fit many other vacuums!

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

Instructions

For the Stair Pro to fit the E series, SE, or PN2 models you will need the mini extension wand and adaptor cord.

Locate the button lock on the mini extension wand and insert that end into the Stair Pro. You will hear it lock into place.

Then take the adapter cord, find the female end, and plug that into the Stair Pro. You may notice that the cord does not go on all the way – that is not a problem! It will still work.

Now, take your main hose and insert it into the mini extension wand.

Take the male end of the adaptor cord and plug it in to the wand. If you notice the cord falling off you can try carefully pulling the prongs apart with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Now you’re ready to turn it on!

If you own a Rainbow E2 2-speed you will not need any adaptor cords or extension pieces! Simply slide the Stair Pro onto the end of the extension wand and you will hear it click into place.

However, you will notice there’s still a large gap between the prongs and the plug. That means you need to keep pushing it on! You may need to push down the button lock to get it to keep going.

You will now notice that there’s a very small gap between the Stair Pro and the plastic of the extension wand. You’re ready to go!
