"Why did we write this article? At Greatvacs we are the largest rebuild warehouse in the US. We have serviced and rebuilt over 50,000 high end vacuums. We get asked all of the time "how to use an ozone generator for water treatment" so we decided to make this video and article for you. Enjoy :)"

*DISCLAIMER*

I am not a scientist nor a chemist but due to my own research and experience I have learned the basics to share with you, in hopes that it finds you well, If you are always unsure it is smart to do your own research. There are plenty of educational videos and articles out there to help clear up any confusion or doubts you may have when it comes to ozone and ozone generators. Ozone is a respiratory irritant and being exposed to substantial amounts for an extended period is dangerous to one's health along with any other living organism.

What is ozone and how is it effective. We have 2 drawings to keep it simple.

Ozone is oxygen but a  different form.

  • Oxygen you have 2. ( Left images )
  • Ozone you have 3. ( Right images )

The third molecule can detach and apply itself to other chemicals or substances this ability to attach to other substances means the ozone can alter the other substances

Ozone is generated and used for certain purposes such as eliminating viruses, bacteria smoke or mold.

So why would you use an ozone generator for water treatment? Since ozone is a strong oxidizing agent it’s helpful in removing bacteria viruses taste odor colors and small living organisms from water. In other words ozone turns dirty water to clean water.

I will be demonstrating the ozone water treatment with our H20-5000 ozone generator.

This is the only unit capable of ozone water treatment but also an ozone generator. if you have any mold, odor, smoke or some bacteria viruses this bad boy can get the job done!

This is the ozone generator unit we are using in this demonstrations.

What's in the box.

  • H20-5000 Ozone generator.
  • 3 Foot long commercial grade power cord.
  • Tubes and Stones for water purification.
  • Owner’s Manual.

The international bottled water association recommends that ozone be applied in the 1.0 to 2.0 milligram per liter range for period of 4 to 10 minutes time to contact to safely ensure disinfection.

The Bowl water you see there is about 4 liters.

Set the ozone generator to 40 minutes and let’s do the job.

  • Put the Tubes and Stones for water purification.

The ozone water treatment process has been done.

We are going to taste the water. Keep in mind my sink water is already cleaned but for demonstration I wanted to show you how it's done. I'm going to drink the water.

Its tastes like normal sink water. There's no weird taste like chlorine or ozone just clean drinking water.

That's the complete instructions of How to use an Ozone Generator for Water Treatment.

I hope you find it helpful and now have understanding and know how to use ozone as water treatment.

Don't forget that we don’t just offer this specific unit, we have a wide variety of different ozone generators, humidifiers and air purifiers. If you want more details about our products you can visit GreatVacs.com or send us an email at service@greatvacs.com and we will gladly assist you!
