Hey everyone it’s Kyle from Greatvacs today I'll be showing you how to replace the latches on GV 8qt backpack vacuum cleaner.

The only tools you’ll need for this are a pair of needle nose pliers and a flathead screwdriver.

Remove the top lid from the 8 quarts.

If you have a cloth bag you can go ahead and remove it as well or you can keep it doesn't really matter.

Go ahead and get your screwdriver and find the latch or latches kind of pull it out like this.

Get the screwdriver and you're gonna put it between this bracket and latch itself.

You’re just going to kind of move the flat head screwdriver until this bracket kind of pushes out the way and the latch will be able to be removed.

To install the replacement latch it’s the same process just backward go ahead and get your new latch and get one side in the bracket.

Push the other side in.

Once you got the latch in hold it and get your needle nose pliers you gonna just grab the bracket on both sides and just kind of push it together to make it secure the fitment of the new latch.

Just like that, you have a new replacement latch installed on your GV 8qt backpack vacuum cleaner.
