Transforming Your Kirby Vacuum into a Blowing/Inflating Machine
Kirby vacuums are well known for their suction power and durability! But did you know, you can use that same power, but have your Kirby be a great blowing/inflating machine? In this short video we will show how easy it is to transform it.
Important Safety Tips
- Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
- Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
- Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
- If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.
Instructions
The first thing you’ll want to do is twist the bag counterclockwise, which unlocks it from the vacuum.
Once that’s done you can disconnect the bag from the top of the vacuum and set it aside.
Now take you hose and if you look inside you’ll see three tabs.
Those tabs line up with the brass tabs on the vacuum.
Line the hose up, making sure that the two hooks are facing away from the vacuum cleaner, and set it on. You may want to twist it each direction to make sure it falls into place all the way.
Take the hose end and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.
You can also check the safety switch on the side of the vacuum. There’s a tab on the hose end that will engage the switch when it’s properly locked in.
You’re done! Now you can turn the Kirby vacuum on and use all of your blowing and inflating attachments!
