How to Keep Your Tools Attached to Your Rainbow Vacuum

Sometimes it’s a little tricky to attach tools to Rainbow wands. So today we’re going to show how to properly attach the tools so they don’t fall off, and so they don’t get stuck on either. In this video we go over all the tools for every model of Rainbow vacuum!

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

 Instructions

There are two different types of tools for Rainbow vacuums. What are these differences? Simple! The older models, like D4 to SE, use friction fit tools while the newer models use button-lock. Most questions are about the older style tools, so we can start with those.

Since the tools are friction-fit you need to be sure to push it on and turn at the same time to get that friction to work. The tool shouldn’t come off, even if you wave the wand around like you’re trying to fling it off.

The curved wand only works with the floor tool. If you take a look, you’ll see two notches on the floor tool and two nubs on the curved wand. Line the notches and nubs and push it on. Once on you can turn it and that allows the tool to swivel without coming apart.

For the newer models, just push the tool on while pushing the button lock down and it should snap into place.

The floor tool works the same as the older model: line up the notches and nubs, push on, and twist.

If you purchase your Rainbow vacuum from Great Vacs you’ll be getting the button-lock style tools.
