My Hose is Stuck and Won’t Come Off!
Nothing's more annoying than a stuck Rainbow hose. Well, in this quick video we'll show you how easy it is to fix your hose and keep it from ever getting stuck again.
Important Safety Tips
- Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
- Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
- Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
- If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.
Supplies
- Flat head screwdriver
- Needle nose pliers
Instructions
If your hose is stuck, you can take your flat head screwdriver and locate the release tab between the neck of the water bowl and the rubber push button.
Once you’ve located the tab, press down with your screwdriver. Pull the hose out toward as you’re pushing down and it should release.
The main reason why your hose is stuck is because of the little hook on the tab. This hook goes on the inside of the water bowl to keep the hose secure. If it’s not at the right angle it’s not allowing the release tab to be pressed down all the way.
To fix this, take your needle nose pliers and bend the hook out slightly. Be very gentle when bending, because if you break the tab off you will have to get a whole new hose! Try bending the hook a tiny bit and testing to see if it comes out properly.
Repeat until the rubber push button is enough to release the hose.
