- Replacement belt
- Replacement brushroll (if you need one, email us at service@greatvacs.com)
Instructions
To remove the brushroll and belt you will need to press the foot release pedal and turn your vacuum upside down.
This will give you access to the underside so that you can remove the bottom plate.
Remove the two screws and side them aside in a safe location.
Then, lift off the metal bottom plate and set aside.
While you’re in there you should check for any clogs or debris stuck in the vacuum, like in the orange funnel and grey tube. You can also remove any clumps of dirt from under the brush roll.
To remove the belt, lift up the flap that protects the motor.
Use your fingers and slide the belt off the motor shaft.
There is a metal C-piece on the brushroll that you need to remove. Remember that the longer end goes in the back.
Once you have the belt off you can just take the brushroll out. Now you’re ready to put the new brushroll in with the new belt.
Install the belt first by sliding it over the motor shaft.
Don’t forget to close the plastic flap!
Take the brushroll and slide the belt over it. Then just pop the brushroll back into place.
Once it’s in place, rotate the brushroll a couple rotations to make sure the belt is aligned correctly.
Take the metal C-pice and put it back in place.
Replace the metal bottom plate and screws, being careful not to over-tighten! They should be snug, but not so tight they break the plastic.
